What if someone is talking and not making eye contact, but looking past you, over your shoulder?
Is this technique hypnosis? I spoke with this man once and I looked into his eyes all the time. He looked at me, but never to my eyes. It was a gay man who was trying to seduce me, I'm serious. All the while, it appeared that focused on a point just over my shoulder. It was weird. Is this a technique that vendors, swindlers, and hypnotists use? If it is a technique of hypnosis, why it works?
