The connection of mind from body – Get the performance you want
A funny thing happened to me in 1996. I was on a platform in the championships World In South Africa, the fight for the gold medal point and raise a fairly large amount of weight. When I pulled that bar I miraculously blew 3 discs in back actually was the beginning of full disclosure.
Coming form a competitive basis and have had a wise old Yoda car type he had learned a number of techniques much better than my competitive capabilities and had sent me up all that had happened would not have thought to do. The strange thing is that until I studied NLP, all the world thought he was crazy and was considered "off the wall" in my sports rehabilitation practice.
Soon I realized that in all these years I was learning the mind-body connection.
In NLP we learn about the connection, but I would like to show you the vast cavern of possibilities This reality presents.
As you know, we have our confidence neurotransmitters, which are brokers and carriers of messages to body parts we want to use in a conscious and unconscious level. For consciousness, all the decisions we make to perform any task and at an unconscious level, all necessary functions that our body needs to carry out continuously so that we may live and that we rarely consider.
Therefore, if we could take advantage of our unconscious that controls automatic functions such as heart rate and blood flow, respiration etc have the ability to optimize our bodies and therefore create better on a daily basis. The only real obstacles we have are those that apply to us by our perception of our reality and what we believe are our limitations.
As a man who would believe that he could not go much over 17 meters and another man who believed that their pain would never go back.
I remember sitting on the floor of the hot room to my first European Weightlifting Championships in Italy. Tremors and dizziness I was terrified. Mr. Yoda coach approached and he said standing near my eyes, breathe deeply, and I see in my mind through my own eyes full elevation was about to perform. Only this time, it playing from the beginning, as I breathe in feel the strength in streaming all the tissues of my body and make the lift so strong that it and act surprised if I have to.
This was the first time I played in my subconscious and controls of the first visualization techniques, ah, and won my first European Championship.
Now I have the pleasure of teaching others how to use your subconscious to change the physical processes as speeding the metabolism, increasing heart rate to produce adrenaline and then step in what is called "the zone" – the sacred place of the main mission is, and many other ways to help us in our lives normal or competitive.
Another technique I did not realize he was doing was pain control. This is where I relate to the back injury that had in 1996 and then developed a rather simple process for my clients sport rehabilitation until he became a practitioner of NLP and hypnotherapist and full knowledge what he was doing and perfected it.
The pain that came with the back injury was so bad that he could not sleep for weeks. Finally one night I used visualization technique had taught my old car but this time I pictured my vertebrae, the discs come in between them and further tissue damage of all the inflammation around it. The image was very clear.
Then I saw the picture of how I wanted it to look, imagined inflammation drains through of tissues, tightening discs divide, all that had been damaged tissue healing and pain of fading. The image was so clear that even can be seen today. Then I fell asleep for the first time in weeks. In the morning the pain was reduced and movement in reality.
I started this technique to use sports therapy with clients and I was working. Finally, when I graduated as a practitioner of NLP I have used what we call "sub changes mode "to do this which is a much more effective technique, another technique called fast phobia model to reduce the trauma of the affected area and also the incident occurred on and, finally, visualization techniques within a session of hypnosis to get the body to physically change what was doing and to heal faster.
From these results, then it was possible to implement new strategies for producing better results for athletes by optimizing the performance of the organs and also modify the way the athlete perceives the training and if you approach competition in.
Each step of the real fact is carefully broken down and automatic thought processes that occurs in each step is modified, or optimized for a result better or a good part of the chain to produce an optimal result.
For example – a fighter who will always drop his left guard after or during a shot or move certain we can break the sequence and make a technical strategy to change the reaction of the bodies so they no longer do that.
A weightlifter who in the competition, she feels that the bar is very heavy when pulled out of the racks and is about to make your elevator can take that process is interrupted to the point where is about the bar and change the process if he is so strong that the bar is much lighter.
The runner who perceived to have the chronic accumulation of acid lactic always hits the mark of 10 miles that can use hypnosis to modify the mechanisms of lactic acid so dissipate through the tissue and not accumulate.
The bodybuilder who has been dieting for the competition for so long that your metabolism has slowed down and can not lose more body fat. You can use hypnosis and sub modality shifts to carry unconscious speed up your metabolism and burn fat faster.
The possibilities of our incredible capabilities bodies are endless and the more we advance in our understanding of the connection between mind and body will get the best results and alleviate so many problems that we see we have.
